Does stream-proof mean THE FINALS cheats are undetectable?

Question about the wording I keep seeing on cheat websites.

If something says "stream-proof," does that just mean it won't appear in OBS or a recording?

Or is that supposed to mean anti-cheat can't detect it either?

Those sound like two completely different things to me, but some pages put them right next to each other.

    They're different concepts.

Stream-proof usually refers to whether an overlay appears in a capture or recording. Anti-cheat detection is about whether the game or its security systems identify unauthorized software or activity.

    So stream-proof isn't a synonym for undetected?

    Correct.

The product page describes its stream-proof option as a feature of the display or capture experience. That shouldn't be interpreted as proof that the product cannot be detected.

I think the terminology gets mixed up because both words sound like "nobody can see it."

Exactly, but the systems asking those questions are different.

What does the official policy say about it?

Embark's current ban policy says accounts can be sanctioned for using cheats, hacks or third-party tools that affect gameplay. It also mentions attempts to bypass anti-cheat protections.

And their official announcements have discussed ongoing anti-cheat work, so an advertising claim shouldn't override the developer's rules.

That's a much clearer way of thinking about it.

Yep. Capture visibility is one question. Anti-cheat detection is another. Neither should be treated as a guarantee about the other.

And neither changes whether using the tool is allowed in the first place.

    Fair enough. That answers it.
