THE FINALS updated, how do you check whether a cheat is compatible?

THE FINALS keeps getting updates, so I'm wondering how people distinguish a normal game issue from a third-party compatibility issue.

Do you check the patch notes first, or the software provider's announcements?

I keep seeing old posts that say something is working, but they're sometimes months out of date.

Start with the official game announcements to see what changed.

Do they include more than balance changes?

Yes. The official announcement feed includes updates, bug fixes and anti-cheat notices.

The Steam announcements page currently has update entries such as 11.13.0, posted October 8, 2026. That's a good reason to check dates when reading compatibility discussions.

Didn't realize the update feed was that useful.

Then check the product's current documentation. A game update doesn't automatically prove the product is broken, but an old compatibility statement shouldn't be assumed current either.

And be careful about claims like "undetected after every patch." A seller's compatibility statement isn't a guarantee of avoiding enforcement.

Yeah, that wording is what makes me skeptical of a lot of product pages.

Fair. The official ban policy says third-party software that affects gameplay can lead to enforcement, so there's no reliable reason to treat an update as proof of safety.

I'd keep the checks separate: game version, provider's current documentation, then any general troubleshooting.

Makes sense. Check current sources instead of trusting an old "working" comment.
